The clock is ticking. North Korea can open at any moment and the cults are already active inside. Will Christians heed the wake-up call to get prepared now and take steps of obedience in faith?

This year's 8.15 Global Day of Fasting and Prayer for North Korea will focus on interceding for the readiness of the Church to enter North Korea. We must be ready, and we must be taking practical steps of involvement now.

This one day fast will work simply like this. Participants will sign up at www.nkprayer.com to fast for 1, 2, or 3 meals on August 15th. After signing up participants will be able to download part I of a new book authored by NK Missions called The Walls Are Coming Down: Following Jesus into North Korea. This book details the urgency of why the Church needs to be prepared and has practical suggestions on steps of involvement. Lastly, participants can join in on a 8.15 prayer meeting in cities around the world by visiting the global roster of 8.15 prayer meetings at www.nkprayer.com. Participants can also host a 8.15 prayer meeting by posting their meeting info at www.meetup.com and then submitting that link to NK Missions.

We are excited that God will awaken His Church to pray, fast and believe in all that He is doing to reach and redeem the people of North Korea. The last two (of five) prayer campaigns for 2007 will be the Esther Fast (Sept 12-14) and the Int'l Week of Prayer for NK (Nov 4-11). These two prayer campaigns will focus on the preparing the Church to enter NK and will use Parts II and III of The Walls Coming Down book as resources.
